Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an OK or compact RN license and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit on the 3rd/4th floor
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Care for a variety of patients with both simple and complex health problems
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and documenting responses to interventions
- Works under general supervision and participates in patient and family education during hospitalization and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- No local candidates accepted; must reside outside a 50 mile radius
- Holiday and potential weekend coverage may be required
- Previous employees must have a 6-month break after 26 weeks of service to be eligible for rehire
- Active RN license in Oklahoma or a Compact Multistate License (eNLC) required
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Demonstrated ability to deliver competent nursing care and communicate effectively
