Experience:

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required. License:
Current and valid state-issued license required.

Certifications:

BLS, EKG Course/Telemetry test, NIHSS, ACLS required. Must-Have:

- Must provide a valid driver's license or state-issued .

- Must provide a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address within the last three months.

- Must reside greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility.

Description:

The Registered Nurse will care for patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting. Responsibilities include monitoring patient vitals and managing telemetry. Candidates will administer medications and treatments as prescribed. The position will require floating to other areas if needed. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. Daily census includes adult and geriatric patients, with an average of 25 patients. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support.

Experience with Epic charting system is required. Travelers must adhere to all facility policies and procedures. Ability to manage diverse patient conditions, including general surgery and orthopedic cases. Infection control practices must be followed at all times. Candidates should be able to perform essential nursing skills, including IV management and wound care. Additional responsibilities may include patient education and discharge planning.
