Prepares meat products by weighing, wrapping and labeling; ensures market and seafood display cases are kept full, rotated, and fresh with prepackaged meats; and promotes customer service.

• Package and label processed meat for display, ensuring correct pricing and signage.
• Adhere to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating market products and organizing coolers and freezers.
• Inspect product for freshness by judging texture, color, and aroma.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling initiatives.
• Stack pallets and sort product to correct locations in line with company efficiency standards.
• Provide friendly, customer‑service‑oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and fulfilling requests.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environments by following company safety procedures.

• Read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales.
• Safely operate and maintain department equipment.
• Use precision and non‑precision hand tools.
• Operate a manual or electric pallet jack.
• Operate hazardous tools and equipment such as a bailer.
• Work safely with sharp edged objects such as knives and box cutters.
• Collaborate well with partners and promote a team environment.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with customers and partners.
• Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Remain attentive to hazards and report them when they cannot be immediately remedied.

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 21 years or older required to drive for company business.
• One or more years of related experience preferred.
• Typical on‑the‑job training provided.
• Food Handler certification required.

• Requires close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus.
• Requires standing or walking continuously.
• Requires hands for reaching, touching, and handling continuously.
• Frequently requires bending, kneeling, squatting, or stooping.
• Frequently requires pushing, pulling, maneuvering, or lifting objects up to 40 lb.
• Frequently requires talking and hearing.
• Occasionally requires pushing, pulling, maneuvering, or lifting objects up to 75 lb.
