Everyone knows the pool is the coolest place to be in the summer. Join our Aquatics Team to ensure everyone can enjoy the pool in a safe and welcoming environment. Whether you’re a lifeguard, a swim instructor, or both, you’ll enjoy helping swimmers feel confident and gain water skills. No experience? No problem — we provide training!

Position Description

To ensure the welfare and safety of all participants in and around the swimming pool.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring pool activity to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies.
• Performing rescues and providing emergency care when needed.
• Maintaining safety standards and pool rules.
• Attending training sessions and maintaining certifications.
• Performing routine pool maintenance and safety checks.

Requirements

• Must be certified in CPR, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen. Training provided if needed.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Possess or be willing to obtain YMCA Lifeguard certification or equivalent.
• Ability to relate positively with pool patrons and demonstrate professionalism.
• Maintain physical fitness and water skills.

Salary: $12.00 per hour
