Job Summary and Responsibilities

Virginia Mason is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MAC) to support providers and the health care team in a clinic setting. Key duties include:

• Back‑office and patient‑related tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
• Front‑office activities and scheduling.
• Patient care procedures within MAC scope: injections, EKGs, ear lavage, blood draws, vital sign measurements, rooming, and patient flow.
• Assisting with pre‑visit preparation, patient visits, and post‑visit duties.
• Reporting test results and communicating schedule changes to providers.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or validation of equivalent military training (e.g., Hospital Corpsman).
• At least 6 months of customer experience.
• Active Washington State Medical Assistant – Certified (MA‑C) licensure required (or interim MA‑C with probationary period).
• Knowledge of insurance concepts preferred.
• One year of Medical Assistant – Certified experience preferred.

$27.25 – $38.49 per hour.
