Estate Planning Associate – Edmonds, WA:

Sound Estate Planning is seeking an associate to join its thriving estate planning practice located in downtown Edmonds. We serve the Puget Sound area.

Our clients receive a broad range of estate planning services, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, asset protection, estate and gift tax solutions, and charitable giving. We also provide trust and estate administration / probate services for existing clients.

About the Role:

We are seeking an associate who can handle estate planning and administration matters with increasing autonomy and direct client interaction. As this is a small and vibrant practice, the role offers significant opportunities for growth and leadership.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Starting annual salary range is $100,000 - $125,000 (depending upon qualifications and experience)

Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience or an LL.M. in Taxation and / or Estate Planning.
  • Familiarity with the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations relevant to estate and gift tax planning (we do not prepare or file tax returns).
  • Strong academic performance, attention to detail, and strong analytical, research, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Handling various types of estate and trust matters, including the drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and related documents.
  • Handling trust and estate administration, including probate.
  • Office presence (this is not a remote position).
