Bilingual Janitorial Supervisor; English​/Chinese

Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

The Field Supervisor ensures all janitorial operations meet TEC Services’ highest standards. This role sets expectations for quality, safety, and team performance, holding themselves and staff accountable. Success means consistently exceeding client standards, solving problems proactively, and leading by example with hands‑on support.

• Supervise and support janitorial staff to ensure all cleaning tasks meet TEC Services standards and client expectations.
• Conduct routine site inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain open communication with the client’s management team and TEC Services leadership.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to ensure consistent performance and adherence to company policies.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, including floor scrubbers and other janitorial machinery.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Provide coverage during call‑offs or staffing shortages, including performing cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, scrubbing, or waste removal.
• Respond promptly to client requests or emergencies, coordinating additional resources as needed.
• Complete daily and weekly reports summarizing operations, staffing, and quality outcomes.

• Fluency in English and Chinese — ideally Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Prior experience supporting Chinese‑speaking clients or communities.
• Written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial, facilities, or building maintenance (grocery or retail environment preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office software to prepare reports, manage payroll, and maintain accurate records.
• Hands‑on attitude and willingness to perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent requests efficiently.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

This role regularly (approx. 80% of time) engages with Chinese‑speaking clients, including face‑to‑face interaction, phone support, written communications, and translation of client materials. The ability to switch between English and Chinese is essential to the effective performance of the role.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable operating floor scrubbers, buffers, and other janitorial equipment.
• Capable of performing physical cleaning duties when required.
