Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, vision, and foster teamwork and customer satisfaction among the engineering staff.
- Manage the Facilities Engineering budget.
- Implement the Utility Management Plan.
- Assist in developing the annual labor, operating and capital budgets.
- Ensure consistent, safe, and reliable operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related utility systems at Swedish Medical Center, Cherry Hill.
- Manage remote facilities including ACCs, EDs, and clinics.
- 10 or more years of facility operations and maintenance experience with at least three years in a supervisory or management position at a medium‑sized healthcare facility.
- 3 years of experience in development, implementation, and monitoring of computer‑based preventive maintenance programs.
- Extensive knowledge of utility and life‑safety systems, including fan systems, chillers, chilled water distribution, cooling towers, emergency generators, electrical distribution, steam generation and distribution, heating water, plumbing, medical gases, and fire detection and suppression systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of all hospital plant and utility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, steam, medical air, medical vacuum and control air.
- Proficiency in computer‑based maintenance software systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
