THE ROLE & SCHEDULE
  • We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages walking to 11 years old
  • Kid Strong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum
  • Our classes run typically weekdays 9am
    -11am and evenings 3pm until 7pm, and weekends are typically from 8am through 3:30pm
  • Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on center needs.
  • Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.
  • Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required!
COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
  • Teach the Kid Strong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
  • Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
  • Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center
  • Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers
  • Complete trainings as directed
  • Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
  • Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
  • Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class
  • Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next' month’s curriculum
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by Kid Strong Management
  • (Optional) Learn and manage Coach Kid Strong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example: Winter Break, Summer Break)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate Kid Strong age is preferred
  • Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the Kid Strong curriculum
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics (not required)
  • CPR certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter who just gets a job done

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but will be mentoring so communication and interpersonal skills are important.

Sphere of Interaction

Coaches will work closely with center leadership, families, and members of the HQ team.
