Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Financial Clerk will provide support to the Infrastructure Department and will be responsible for processing a high volume of complex financial transactions.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • processing payment of Project Lead invoices for Integrated Infrastructure Services and ensure payment is made in accordance with prompt payment legislation
  • receiving, reviewing and coding invoices in Markview from Project Lead
  • preparing purchase requisitions in eBiz for Integrated Infrastructure Services, Infrastructure Supports and Operations, Planning and Property Management
  • processing holdback release payments
  • processing operational credit card expenses
  • assisting the accountants with the preparation of journal entries

    • Education/Qualifications

  • completion of a post-secondary program in relevant course of study
  • a minimum of two-years accounting experience in a computerized environment
  • experience with accounts receivable and payables
  • ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • exceptional customer service orientation
  • excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Markview, iExpense
