Job Description
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable and subcontract administration. This role works closely with other members of the accounting department and must demonstrate excellent collaboration skills and be comfortable working as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review, code, and process a high volume of invoices in an electronic environmentProcess subcontractor progress billings, invoices, and holdback releasesEnsure proper submission of documentation required for invoicing, including statutory declarations, WCB clearance letters, and insurance documentation etc.Scheduling and preparing payment of invoicesProcess and reconcile credit card transactions and statementsSet-up and maintain vendors, reconcile vendor statements, and respond to all vendor inquiriesSubcontract administration including issuing and tracking subcontracts (CCA-1)Assist in the preparation of provincial sales tax reportingUndertake special projects or assignments as requiredVarious administrative dutiesQUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar roleExperience in the construction industry, specifically within a general contracting environment, is requiredAbility to interact and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and employeesAccuracy and attention to detail is requiredProficient multi-tasker who can work in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentProficient in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, and WordExperience working with Sage 300 and Timberscan an assetWhat we offer:
