The Production Accountant will report directly to the Director, Production Finance and is responsible for managing the finances for the production companies and maintaining all necessary financial records during production.

This is a 12 Month contract and 4 days per week in office. Opportunity for the contract to be extended or converted.

• Review and post weekly payment run in SMART Accounting
• Review of weekly payment inputs on the banking platform
• Review and monitor weekly payments and clear Accounts Payable
• Liaise with Payroll Coordinator for ACTRA, SAG and DGC Payroll, review and post fringe reports in SMART Accounting
• Reconcile production of bank accounts monthly in SMART Accounting
• Input and post all monthly journal entries in SMART Accounting
• Prepare, review, and post all Crew payroll journal entries in SMART Accounting
• Maintain, prepare, and reconcile production cost report and Trial Balance in SMART Accounting
• Prepare and maintain Production cashflow schedule and budget variance monthly
• Follow internal control process, including cost reports summary and approval
• Prepare monthly Production journal entries in SAP
• Support quarterly reports and year end audit
• Liaise and prepare documents for the external parties for Tax credits applications and T2 filings
• Complete additional ad-hoc duties as required

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Production accounting, Cast and Crew payroll and cost report analysis
• Experience with Smart Accounting, EP Canada software , ACTRA , SAG and DGC
• Knowledge of CAVCO and Provincial Tax Credit System
• Knowledge of month end financial reporting

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Toronto is $75,000 to $85,000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
