Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide financial expertise and support across project‑based operations. This role is responsible for supporting project accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, managing reporting processes, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure financial performance is aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong full‑cycle accounting experience, exposure to project‑based environments, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

Collaborate with project and development teams to prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts

Manage cost‑to‑complete processes and support cost of sales adjustments

Monitor and reconcile project costs, including infrastructure and cost‑sharing arrangements

Prepare financial reports related to joint ventures and respond to partner inquiries

Maintain and update project budgets and job cost estimates within ERP systems

Perform job costing analysis and support project performance tracking

Manage cash flow activities related to joint ventures and financing arrangements

Support financing processes, including preparing documentation for draws and ensuring compliance with lending requirements

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting calculations

Assist with financial reporting and provide support to corporate finance and accounting teams

Identify process improvement opportunities and support system enhancements or implementations

Your strengths include:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

3+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience

Experience working with project budgets, forecasting, and cost tracking

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy in a high‑volume environment

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Professional, proactive, and team‑oriented mindset

Progress toward a professional accounting designation considered an asset
