Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial transactions and reporting. This role is responsible for managing journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, supporting audits and cash management, and contributing to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

They will be analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with auditors, banks, and internal stakeholders.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Prepare, review, and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries with accuracy
  • Ensure proper accounting for accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and expense allocations
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close processes to meet reporting deadlines
  • Manage fixed‑asset ledgers and capital expenditure tracking
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, working papers, and explanations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to mitigate financial risk
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and support daily and weekly cash reporting
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
  • Support ERP system optimization and other ad hoc accounting initiatives as required
  • Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • CPA designation or active progress toward completion
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to general ledger, audit, and treasury functions
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting standards
  • Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Clear and professional communication skills for working with auditors, financial institutions, and internal teams
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
  • A continuous‑improvement mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving
