Senior Project Accountant

Join our team as a Senior Project Accountant specializing in construction projects based in Edmonton, Alberta. Oversee financial documentation and ensure timely client billing and payment.

This position requires 5-7 years of project accounting experience, especially in the construction sector. You'll manage accounts payable, ensure compliance with documentation, conduct audits, and analyze project financial status. Engaging with internal and external stakeholders is essential, along with providing valuable insights in project meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process client billings in compliance with contracts

• Manage project accounts payable and subcontract payments

• Verify and maintain all project documentation requirements

• Review financial submissions and resolve discrepancies

• Provide input in project forecast review meetings

Requirements:

• Relevant postsecondary education or diploma

• Experience in project accounting within construction

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and JD Edwards ERP

• Strong understanding of project costing and contract requirements

• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under deadlines
