Westcan is currently seeking an Accounts receivable Clerk to join our team.
Shift: Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
Compile daily bank depositsPrepare daily deposits for cheque postingEnter and allocate all payments received to appropriate accountsPost cash receiptsReconcile accounts and contact customers with overdue accountsCreate Excel spreadsheets to monitor customer account details for nonpayment, delayed payments and other irregularitiesPromote and foster Customer Service by investing time in building working relationships through prompt follow-up on all customer queriesQualifications:
A diploma in accounting OR a minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with high volumes of data processingKnowledge of the transportation industry is an asset and the willingness to learn is requiredIntermediate Microsoft Excel skillsAn aptitude for mathematics and related problem solving abilities are required for calculating payment differencesAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamWell organized, detail oriented, with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards workSystems experience including Great Plains accounting software and the TMW System is an assetTotal Compensation:
