Senior Manager / Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Manager / Senior Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm serving a diverse client base across multiple industries. This role is responsible for leading complex engagements, providing strategic tax and business advisory services, mentoring team members, and building strong client relationships while ensuring the highest standards of quality and professional service.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing strategic tax planning, corporate restructuring, and business growth advice
  • Lead complex client engagements and oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, and assurance files
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and file reviews to support the development of junior and intermediate staff
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering tailored advice and exceptional service
  • Ensure compliance with CPA standards, GAAP, and regulatory requirements while identifying tax planning opportunities
    • Your strengths include:
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience, including experience in a senior or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, Canadian tax legislation, and accounting software such as Case Ware, Profile, and cloud-based accounting platforms
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience working with agriculture, energy, or Indigenous business sectors is considered an asset
