Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

We're working with a well-established and growing client in the manufacturing sector, seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and manufacturing accounting, providing valuable insights that support strategic business decisions.
This position is ideal for a CPA-designated accounting professional with experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys partnering with operations to improve financial performance and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.

Develop budgets, forecasts, financial models, and variance analysis.

Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, standard costing, and gross margins.

Monitor inventory valuation, WIP, and cost absorption while ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Complete balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journal entries.

Partner with operations and department leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.

Support tax reporting, transfer pricing, and other financial compliance requirements.

Recommend and implement improvements to costing processes, controls, and reporting.

Qualifications:

CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA).

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of standard costing and cost accounting.

Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.

Strong Excel and ERP systems experience.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
