We're working with a well-established and growing client in the manufacturing sector, seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and manufacturing accounting, providing valuable insights that support strategic business decisions.
This position is ideal for a CPA-designated accounting professional with experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys partnering with operations to improve financial performance and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, financial models, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, standard costing, and gross margins.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, WIP, and cost absorption while ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journal entries.
  • Partner with operations and department leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
  • Support tax reporting, transfer pricing, and other financial compliance requirements.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to costing processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Qualifications:
  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge of standard costing and cost accounting.
  • Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Excel and ERP systems experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
