Contract Senior Financial Accountant Role

Join a leading organization as a Senior Financial Accountant for a 12-18 month contract. Leverage your CPA credentials to enhance financial reporting and support finance initiatives.

We are seeking a CPA-designated candidate with a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and over 5 years of accounting experience. This role requires proficiency in ASPE, full-cycle accounting, and extensive analytical skills. The accountant will ensure timely completion of monthly financial reports while supporting year-end audits and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the monthly close process and journal entries

• Prepare financial reporting packages for leadership

• File regulatory returns, including GST/HST and royalties

• Maintain accurate customer and vendor records

• Support the year-end audit process with external auditors

Requirements:

• CPA designation required

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of ASPE standards

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
