THE ROLE:

Are you a hands-on accounting leader ready to support a client on a long-term contract? Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their finance team and play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, process improvement, and team leadership. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization.

What You'll Do:

Support the oversight of day-to-day accounting operations and full-cycle accounting functions

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including a September 30 fiscal year-end

Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and budgeting analysis

Manage account reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and multiple bank accounts

Review journal entries, general ledger activity, and financial data accuracy

Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements

Provide leadership, coaching, and support to a small accounting team

Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and overall financial efficiency
