About the Opportunity
Zen Residential Ltd. is seeking a Property Accountant to support the financial operations of our growing portfolio. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing timely reports to support property performance and compliance.

- Manage day-to-day accounting for assigned residential properties
- Process accounts payable and receivable accurately and on time
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Prepare financial statements and assist with budget preparation
- Ensure accuracy of tenant ledgers, vendor payments, and owner reports
- Collaborate with Property Managers to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Maintain property data and financial records in Yardi or similar systems
- Support audit preparation and compliance with internal controls and policies
- Respond to financial inquiries from tenants, vendors, and internal teams
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement and reporting efficiencies
- 2-4 years of accounting experience (property accounting preferred)
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, Buildium) is an asset
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and financial reporting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
