Step into the role of Senior Trust Accountant with Olympia Trust Company, where you’ll manage Indigenous trust accounts in a hybrid capacity. Your expertise will contribute to effective financial reporting and community trust relations.

Iron Bear Indigenous Services is looking for a skilled professional to oversee full-cycle accounting for Indigenous trust portfolios. This role necessitates a combination of technical accounting acumen and the ability to interact sensitively with Indigenous Trustees and community leaders. You'll work alongside various stakeholders to guarantee the integrity of financial administrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive trust accounting records

• Issue timely financial statements monthly

• Reconcile investment transactions with external partners

• Facilitate trust distribution calculations and tax compliance

• Identify compliance and administrative issues proactively

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in trust accounting

• Strong preference for Indigenous trust account knowledge

• CPA designation preferred or nearing completion

• Detailed knowledge of fiduciary accounting principles

• Essential skills in Excel and accounting software systems
