Accounts Payable Accounting Specialist

Own accounts payable at Lightform’s Edmonton head office, applying precise invoice coding and strong reconciliation skills. Help modernize workflows with practical process improvements.

Lightform seeks an experienced accounting professional with three-plus years of experience and a strong AP foundation. You will manage the full AP cycle, support GL and month-end activities, and work with the Controller, Assistant Controller, and purchasing team. The position also supports reporting, audits, and special projects.

• Manage invoice intake, coding, matching, approvals, and payment runs
• Ensure accurate, supported, timely payments and early-pay discount optimization
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations, including foreign currency transactions
• Improve AP automation, electronic approvals, EFT workflows, and ERP utilization

• Three-plus years of accounting experience with strong AP experience
• Exposure to GL accounts or month-end close processes
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and controls
• ERP experience and strong Excel skills
• Clear communication, organization, and independent working ability
