Regional Manager, Alberta and NWT
The Receptionist provides general administrative and clerical support to WCRC management and staff. The role involves reception duties, correspondence, data entry and file management. The Receptionist ensures top quality customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities   Answer telephones, take messages, and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members
Perform general secretarial duties including typing, transcription, and formatting of documents, correspondence, and reports
Maintain and organize filing systems, both paper-based and electronic, ensuring documents are properly classified and accessible
Schedule and coordinate meetings, including booking facilities, sending invitations, and preparing agendas and minutes
Manage calendars and prioritize tasks for management staff, with attention to deadlines and competing priorities
Prepare reports and other materials using Microsoft Office applications
Maintain office supplies inventory and coordinate orders with vendors as needed
Assist with data entry and database management tasks
Communicate professionally with staff, members, contractors, and external stakeholder
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS   Secondary school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS   Experience in a union, non-profit, or construction industry environment
Familiarity with labour relations or human resources administration
Knowledge of UBCJA or the construction trades

Experience with scheduling or meeting coordination software
WORKING CONDITIONS   Office-based position located at the WCRC's Edmonton Office located at  Avenue NW
Standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or as assigned)
Regular computer work; may involve prolonged sitting and use of keyboard/mouse
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS   A competitive salary and benefits as stated in the COPE 397 Collective Agreement
