- Focus on front counter customer service and sales utilizing your previous automotive parts/service and wheel/tire experience
- Recommend vehicle service, provide service quotes, and receive customer authorization for work to be performed
- Share product knowledge and technical expertise to provide excellent customer service on the front counter
- Assist with the completion of an annual budget; this includes forecasting revenue and expenditures, accurately tracking budget numbers with particular attention to achieving operational benchmarks
- Assist with recruitment and development of a team of Associates dedicated to providing a superior customer experience
- Supervise and motivate associates to ensure maximum productivity
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented
- Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
- Assist in identifying and following up on outstanding accounts receivable/credit clients
- Ensure store associates have completed all assigned training; provide feedback and reinforcement as required
- Handle customer complaints within a reasonable timeframe and maintain documentation of complaints and resolutions
- 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry required
- Completion of high school diploma or GED and a post‑secondary diploma, degree, or certification is preferred
- Previous experience as an assistant manager, service writer or service manager is an asset
- Proven leadership ability and previous people management experience (recruitment/discipline) is an asset
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to set goals and achieve results
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Effective communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and team
- Organizational and time‑management skills in order to prioritize competing demands
