Responsibilities
Focus on front counter customer service and sales utilizing your previous automotive parts/service and wheel/tire experience
Recommend vehicle service, provide service quotes, and receive customer authorization for work to be performed
Share product knowledge and technical expertise to provide excellent customer service on the front counter
Assist with the completion of an annual budget; this includes forecasting revenue and expenditures, accurately tracking budget numbers with particular attention to achieving operational benchmarks
Assist with recruitment and development of a team of Associates dedicated to providing a superior customer experience
Supervise and motivate associates to ensure maximum productivity
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented
Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
Assist in identifying and following up on outstanding accounts receivable/credit clients
Ensure store associates have completed all assigned training; provide feedback and reinforcement as required
Handle customer complaints within a reasonable timeframe and maintain documentation of complaints and resolutions
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the automotive industry required
Completion of high school diploma or GED and a post‑secondary diploma, degree, or certification is preferred
Previous experience as an assistant manager, service writer or service manager is an asset
Proven leadership ability and previous people management experience (recruitment/discipline) is an asset
Strong computer skills
Ability to set goals and achieve results
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract
Effective communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and team
Organizational and time‑management skills in order to prioritize competing demands
