Role Description  This is a part-time, on-site Automotive Technician role based in Edmonton, AB. The Automotive Technician will perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, inspections, and fluid checks, as well as diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various vehicle makes and models. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting thorough vehicle assessments, completing repair orders, and documenting work performed in accordance with shop standards.

The role also involves collaborating with service advisors, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and using diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure high-quality, reliable service. The technician is expected to follow safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines while delivering consistent, dependable work.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and routine Oil Changes, with the ability to follow service schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
Proficiency in Automotive Repair and Maintenance & Repair, including diagnosing issues, replacing components, and completing repair orders accurately.
Experience working with Suspension systems, including inspection, repair, and replacement of related components.
Experience working Engines and Transmissions, including inspection, repair, and replacement of or rebuild.
Relevant technical training or certification in automotive technology; apprenticeship or journeyperson status is an asset.
Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and electronic systems to identify and resolve mechanical problems.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a service team.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
