Position: Project Manager – Infrastructure (Water & Sewer)
Location: Spruce GroveThompson Construction Group has an immediate opening for a Project Manager based out of our Spruce Grove office, supporting Infrastructure division land development and subdivision projects.
The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, cost control, reporting, and administrative management of water, sanitary, and storm projects. Working closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and senior leadership, this role supports effective project execution from award through completion while ensuring financial accuracy, schedule alignment, and clear communication.
Responsibilities:
Track and report project costs, including weekly cost summaries and job cost reportingMonitor unit rate work, including daily load counts, production tracking, and volume reportingReview and code daily Foreman reports, LEMs, and field documentationSupport monthly volume tracking, invoicing, and accrual reportingAssist with project scheduling, progress tracking, and reportingParticipate in weekly project progress, supervisor, and management meetingsConduct job site visits with management and site supervision as requiredAssist with budget preparation, estimates, and change management supportCoordinate with Superintendents and Foremen to identify risks, issues, and cost impactsEnsure project documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely mannerQualifications:
Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or Engineering DegreeMinimum 1–3 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in underground utilities or land developmentStrong understanding of job costing, unit rate work, and construction reportingAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong computer skills, including construction reporting and cost tracking toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseAbility to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol testAdditional Information:
