Join Valard Construction as a Safety Program Coordinator in Edmonton, Calgary, or Toronto. This office-based role involves overseeing safety in transmission line projects while supporting teams across Canada.
In this pivotal role, you will report to the Safety Lead and coordinate safety initiatives across multiple transmission construction projects. With your solid project coordination skills, you will develop Safety Management Plans and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Your expertise in transmission line safety will guide daily operations and project support across diverse sites.
Key Responsibilities- Act as primary safety contact for the transmission group
- Coordinate deployment of Safety Advisors to project sites
- Provide remote guidance on HS&E matters
- Prepare monthly safety reports and safety management plans
- Review safety performance data and incident trends
- Post-Secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety
- 3 years experience in transmission line construction
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification
- Understanding of Canadian OHS legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
