As an Estimator at Wilco, you will play a crucial role in driving our projects from concept to completion. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the full estimating cycle, collaborating closely with project managers and subcontractors to deliver precise, competitive bids that ensure success.

What You’ll Do:
Monitor tender opportunities, project developments, and municipal budgets to identify new prospects.
Perform detailed take-offs and gather accurate costs for labour, materials, and equipment.
Develop comprehensive tender packages and proposals ready for management review and submission.
Interpret construction drawings and specifications, mastering the latest estimating technologies.
Support Project Management by preparing change orders and analysing project performance to drive continuous improvement.
Build and nurture lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Assist clients and consultants with budgetary estimates on future projects.
What We’re Looking For:
A minimum of 8 years of estimating experience within civil construction, preferably with municipal or heavy civil projects.
Familiarity with industry‑standard estimating software (Heavy Bid is a strong asset).
Strong skills with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar tools for take-offs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A valid class 5 driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites in the Greater Edmonton Area.
