Position: Lead Hand for Road Construction
Location: Stony Plain

Drive highway projects at Canadian Road Builders as a Lead Hand in construction. Utilize your expertise in maintenance activities while ensuring safety and crew productivity every day.

In this key role, you will report to the Foreman and supervise construction activities focusing on safety and quality throughout highway maintenance. This hands-on position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the road construction industry and involves assigning tasks, conducting safety meetings, and monitoring compliance. Your leadership will help maintain a positive workplace and ensure team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate job details and assign tasks effectively

• Resolve crew issues while prioritizing safety and morale

• Conduct safety inspections and hazard assessments

• Monitor work quality and compliance with specifications

• Prepare daily production reports and input time cards

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred

• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract

• Minimum 5 years’ road construction experience

• Familiarity with HCSS costing software

• Strong decision-making and organizational skills
