Commercial Project Manager / EstimatorOur client is seeking a Commercial Project Manager / Estimator to identify, estimate, secure, and deliver commercial construction projects from bid through completion. This role combines estimating,
project management, and business development responsibilities while supporting the continued growth of the commercial division. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:Identify and pursue commercial project opportunities through tenders, RFPs, referrals, and industry networkingPrepare accurate estimates by reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirementsObtain and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to support competitive bidsAssess project risks, profitability, and operational requirements prior to submissionManage commercial projects from award to completion, ensuring quality, budget, schedule, and safety objectives are achievedCoordinate crews, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleMonitor project performance and address challenges to keep work on track and profitableSupport the development of processes, resources, and operational systems that contribute to the growth of the commercial divisionMaintain strong communication and build lasting relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partnersYour strengths include:Experience in commercial estimating, project management, construction sales, or related construction rolesStrong understanding of foundations, waterproofing, structural concrete repair, restoration, and building envelope systemsAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tender packages, and scopes of workKnowledge of construction sequencing, project coordination, budgeting, and job costingExperience managing schedules, subcontractors, and client relationshipsStrong sales, networking, negotiation, and customer service skillsExcellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft 365 and construction-related software platformsStrong written and verbal communication skillsValid Class 5 driver's license and ability to attend job sites as requiredExperience with commercial bidding processes and tender platforms is considered an assetRelevant construction safety certifications are considered an asset
