The Role

Reporting to the Superintendent team, the Assistant Site Superintendent will support residential construction, maintenance, renovations, service work, and site coordination across Alberta. This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction professional who can support the Site Supervisor, complete maintenance and finish work, coordinate with trades and contractors, and help keep jobsites safe, clean, organized, and moving efficiently.

This position will be primarily based in the Edmonton area, with travel required between Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary depending on project needs. The successful candidate will be adaptable, self‑motivated, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced workplace where priorities and scopes of work can change.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Work alongside and support the Site Superintendent and Construction team with residential site needs.
  • Assist with site management, administrative duties, quality control, safety, specifications, and daily site coordination.
  • Help direct trades and subcontractors on site and support clear communication between internal teams and contractors.
  • Complete maintenance work, service calls, unit renovations, finish work, and general construction duties as required.
  • Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and project direction.
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized, and professional jobsites.
  • Identify and report site issues early, support solutions, and help ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Use tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Use Outlook and basic technology to track hours and manage day‑to‑day work.
  • Travel to project sites across Alberta as required, primarily within Edmonton with potential travel to Red Deer or Calgary.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of similar construction, residential site, maintenance, renovation, or hands‑on trade experience.
  • Previous Assistant Site Supervisor or site coordination experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with finish work, renovations, framing, painting, caulking, taping, service work, or general maintenance.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and project direction.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required and work safely in an active construction environment.
  • Comfortable using Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel, scheduling systems, and basic technology for tracking hours and daily work.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • WHMIS, CSTS, and First Aid are considered assets.
  • Self‑motivated, punctual, adaptable, detail‑oriented, and able to meet timelines within budget.
