Water & Sewer Side-Hoe Operator

Join Thompson Construction Group as a Water and Sewer Side-Hoe Operator in Edmonton. This role supports land development with a focus on trench excavation and equipment operation.

We're seeking experienced Side-Hoe Operators for immediate openings in Edmonton's infrastructure projects. In this position, you will operate equipment for water and sewer installations, assist with pipe laying and back filling, and actively participate in safety meetings.

Your role will be vital for effective communication and collaboration within a dedicated construction crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment safely during water and sewer projects

• Excavate trenches for installations of water, sanitary, and storm sewers

• Assist with pipe installation, back filling, and site grading

• Attend daily safety meetings and comply with safety protocols

• Report incidents and maintain communication with the team

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Side-Hoe operator

• Reliable transportation to and from the site

• Ability to work extended hours, Monday to Saturday

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred

• Physically capable of outdoor construction work
