Support pre‑construction activities: establishing PIP form, KPI’s and monthly updates; assist with administrative project set‑up, document controls, look‑ahead schedules, HSE, procurement, construction logistics, and project execution plans.
Assist with tender package submission, subcontractor tender package recommendation to clients, subcontract award cost coding and SAP upload sheet.
Obtain permits and local authority permissions; coordinate cost‑effective project delivery.
Support the VDC team with logistic planning, clash identification/resolution, and 4D scheduling.
Support during construction: minimize the need for Project Manager/Superintendent task work; pull‑planning sessions with subcontractors; price change orders; track requests for information; review and coordinate approvals of shop drawings; coordinate information between sub‑trades and suppliers.
Prepare and update the project budget, schedule, and cost report; participate in weekly subcontract progress meetings; maintain the weekly master project schedule; monitor productivity rates and compare planned versus actuals.
Set up billing schedule with the client; execute billing and invoicing; manage subcontract notifications, value increases, and payments; settle disputes; evaluate subcontractor performance.
Identify, address, and resolve issues before they occur; manage subcontract submittals; maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, sub‑trades, and suppliers.
Ensure project health, safety, and environmental standards meet legislated requirements; assist in BIM/VDC management on site.
Post‑construction: complete deficiencies and warranty issues; support total project completion; complete close‑out report, final purchase orders, and outstanding charges.
Qualifications Undergraduate degree in engineering or construction management (asset).
1‑3 years of hands‑on experience as a project coordinator with exposure to cost estimating, direct project management of large commercial, high‑rise, civil, and/or institutional construction projects.
Ability to forge, grow, and maintain positive relationships.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic business environment.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Sense of urgency, strong commitment to achieving goals, and ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
