Health and Safety Advisor at Argus

Become a pivotal member of Argus as a Health and Safety Advisor, ensuring the highest standards of occupational safety across our facilities. This role emphasizes developing policies and managing health and safety training.

The Health and Safety Advisor position reports to the HR Manager and entails enhancing Argus' Health and Safety Management System. Candidates will utilize their expertise in Alberta's safety regulations, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Collaboratively working with supervisors and management, you will play a critical role in identifying workplace risks and fostering a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and improve the Health and Safety Management System

• Develop safety policies, procedures, and documentation

• Facilitate hazard assessments and workplace inspections

• Support incident investigations and corrective actions

• Coordinate emergency preparedness and training programs

Requirements:

• Post-secondary occupational health and safety certification

• 3 years' experience in occupational health and safety

• Knowledge of Alberta safety regulations

• Strong communication skills with diverse audiences

• Valid driver’s license for facility travel
