WCL Pipe Layer Helper

Position: WCL Pipe Layer Helper Role
WCL is on the lookout for a Pipe Layer Helper with expertise in water and sewer construction. This position involves safely supporting trench work and pipe installation efforts.

In this role, you will directly contribute to our pipe teams in underground construction projects. Your responsibilities will include setting pipes, assisting with bedding and backfill, and ensuring trench safety practices are followed. We value dependable candidates who work well with foremen and equipment operators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pipe installation and bedding processes

• Assist in setting pipe, checking line, and grade

• Ensure safety while working in trenches with equipment

• Comply with trench safety protocols

• Follow directions from pipe layers and site supervisors

Requirements:

• Prior experience in underground construction is essential

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License required

• Must be willing to obtain WHMIS & CSTS 2020 certifications

• Ability to endure outdoor work in various weather conditions

• Dependable and team-oriented work ethic
