Finish Skid Steer Operator – Civil Construction

We are currently seeking an experienced Finish Skid Steer Operator to join our civil construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating skid steer equipment to complete fine grading, site preparation, cleanup, and material handling on a variety of civil construction projects.
The ideal applicant takes pride in producing quality work, operating equipment safely, and working effectively within a fast-paced construction environment.
- Operate skid steer equipment for fine grading and finishing work
- Perform site preparation, leveling, back filling, and cleanup duties
- Assist with grading around curbs, sidewalks, utilities, and structures
- Read grade stakes and follow site plans and supervisor direction
- Safely load, move, and distribute construction materials
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Identify and report mechanical or safety concerns
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with all site safety requirements
- Assist ground crews and perform additional labor duties when required
- 2+ years of skid steer operating experience in civil construction
- Experience with finish grading and final site preparation preferred
- Ability to work around underground utilities and tight spaces safely
- Understanding of grading tolerances and construction site operations
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
- CSTS, Ground Disturbance, and other safety certifications are considered assets
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to make decisions quickly and solve problems in the field
