As a Senior Estimator, your role is to prepare and review tender documents, providing full-cost estimates essential for commercial and industrial undertakings. Your experience in estimating will guide project teams throughout the bidding process while collaborating with clients and subcontractors. You'll also mentor junior estimators, ensuring the smooth flow of information and adherence to Alberta’s construction standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare tender documents and deliver them to consultants
• Evaluate project bids and finalize estimate packages
• Act as a liaison for client design options and recommendations
• Participate in team tender reviews and presentations
• Guide junior estimating staff on bid preparation tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years of estimating experience in construction
• Familiarity with estimating software including Onscreen Takeoff
• Expertise in Alberta's building codes and municipal bylaws
• Strong relationship-building abilities with clients and teams
• Flexibility for occasional travel to project sites
