Join Bird's Edmonton team as an Estimator Civil Concrete, specializing in pricing for industrial clients. Bring your technical expertise and strategic approach to project evaluations.
This estimator role demands at least five years of civil estimating experience. You will prepare budgets, analyze tender documents, and solicit detailed pricing from subcontractors to inform project bids. Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure complete understanding and competitive proposals while supporting business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive price estimates and project budgets
• Review tender documents and analyze subcontractor needs
• Collaborate with clients for clarification on requirements
• Compile and analyze pricing submissions from subcontractors
• Develop preliminary construction schedules with input from stakeholders
Requirements:
• Engineering education (EIT, P.Eng, or CET)
• 5+ years of civil estimating experience
• Proficient in Bid2
Win and Heavy Bid software
• Ability to interpret construction drawings meticulously
• Experience with CAD for 3D takeoffs
