PROJECT MANAGER

Buildforth by Paradigm is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of residential and mixed-use construction projects. This is a remote role with schedule flexibility based on project needs. You will take full ownership of residential and mixed-use construction projects, managing budgets, schedules, procurement, and site coordination from pre-construction through completion, while mentoring Junior Project Managers and reporting to the Director of Projects. This role requires regular travel to active project sites and offices throughout British Columbia and Alberta, including out-of-town work as project needs require.

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
  • Own and lead residential and mixed-use projects from pre-construction to completion.
  • Mentor Junior Project Managers and help shape the next generation of Buildforth’s project leaders.
  • Work closely with the Director of Projects, design, engineering, and fabrication teams to deliver Future-Ready Homes.
  • Travel throughout British Columbia and Alberta and build relationships with clients, trades, and project teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Lead all phases of project delivery, from pre-construction through final completion.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and subcontracts.
  • Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
  • Direct site teams, subcontractors, and consultants, and maintain a regular presence on active job sites.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams, and coordinate between fabrication and site teams for seamless project execution.
  • Mentor Junior Project Managers and project team members, and promote a strong team culture.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and progress claims.
  • Support value engineering initiatives and strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, and lead project meetings to keep all stakeholders aligned.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
  • Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues with professionalism, accountability, and agility.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
  • Proven ability to manage complex contracts and permitting processes.
  • Experience leading projects in remote or out-of-town locations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to coordinate across clients, trades, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation, and openness to regular travel and visiting project sites and offices as required across British Columbia and Alberta, including out-of-town work.
