Lead electrical and civil estimating for utility infrastructure projects with Black & McDonald’s Western Utilities team in Alberta. Use Bid2

As Senior Estimator, you will report to the Lead Estimator and support operations throughout the project lifecycle. The work includes quantity take-offs, cost estimates, conceptual budgets, tendering, bid reviews, and proposal coordination. You will also mentor junior estimators and manage estimating resources.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare electrical and civil quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Review drawings, specifications, risks, and construction methods
- Lead tendering, pricing coordination, and bid documentation
- Review subcontractor bids and support award recommendations
- Coordinate proposals, site visits, and project hand-offs
- Seven-plus years of utility project estimating experience
- Degree or diploma in construction, management, or engineering
- Electrical utility, substation, or underground power experience preferred
- Proficiency with Bid2
Win, Accubid, Procure, and Microsoft Office - Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
