Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Customer Service Representative provides the essential front-line service to customers and enters information into a central database to be used in tracking and tracing shipments.

Monday to Friday; 7:30 am – 16:00 pm

• Answers inbound customer inquiries via phone queuing system and email
• Enters pick up requests into local dispatch systems
• Uses AS400/LTL
  400 software to track/trace shipments
• Liaises with dispatch as necessary
• Maintains a neat work environment, including tidying the lunch room occasionally
• Works with Dispatchers and Drivers to confirm delivery and pick up

• Maintains a professional Customer Service oriented personality in all customer interactions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Works well in a fast-paced team environment
• Shows strict attention to detail
• Possesses problem solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Transportation experience preferred but will train the right candidate

• Starting wage: $23.00/hour
