Position: Urban Planner for Community Development
Empower communities as an Urban Planner at Stantec's Edmonton Office. Focus on urban design, policy analysis, and community engagement to create resilient and livable spaces.

This Junior Urban Planner position supports public and private sector projects, including neighbourhood plans and rezoning applications. Working within a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you will analyze planning policies and contribute to innovative urban development. Collaborate with colleagues on project aspects and assist with public engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze planning policy, site plans, and documents

• Conduct research on land use and economic topics

• Provide advice on zoning and planning policies

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary project team

• Support public engagement events and proposal preparations

Requirements:

• Membership eligibility with relevant planning institutes

• Minimum 2 years' experience in urban planning

• Knowledge of community development practices

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft and InDesign preferred
