This Architectural Design Technician supports a growing drafting group within a Canadian design-builder. You will prepare architectural, contract, bidding, and approval documents while coordinating technical information across consultants, construction teams, municipalities, and regulators. Projects include food processing facilities, cold storage, distribution centres, institutional work, and industrial renovations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare conceptual designs using Revit, AutoCAD, and similar software
Develop drawings, specifications, models, and approval documents
Coordinate sub-consultants across multiple building disciplines
Conduct site visits and verify design compliance
Track shop drawings, site instructions, and addenda
Requirements:
Complete a two to three-year Architectural Technology program
Bring two to five years of construction industry experience
Have at least three years of hands-on Revit experience
Know AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, or equivalent productivity tools
Hold a driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Apply architectural drafting, Revit, consultant coordination, and construction documentation skills across Edmonton design-build projects.
