Reporting to the Manager, Medical Workforce, the Advisor plays an important role in physician workforce planning and recruitment across Covenant Health and Covenant Care. Working closely with medical and operational leaders, physicians, candidates, and community stakeholders, the Advisor develops workforce strategies, supports recruitment initiatives, and contributes to sustainable physician coverage that enables high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is evolving its physician recruitment practices and developing innovative approaches to workforce planning.
The Advisor will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, new recruitment workflows, recruitment events, committees, and strategic initiatives that strengthen physician attraction and retention. This role is well suited to someone who embraces change, enjoys continuous improvement, and is motivated by the opportunity to help shape the future of physician recruitment within Covenant Health and Covenant Care. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the Advisor combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, using critical thinking, sound judgement, and strong analytical skills to assess complex information, identify trends and opportunities, and translate insights into effective recruitment strategies.
Strong organisational and project management skills are important, as the role involves managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and timelines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Baccalaureate degree in a health related field, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Minimum requirement:
Diploma in a health related field, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Equivalencies may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience in physician and/or international recruitment. Five (5) years of progressive experience in healthcare administration with a focus on workforce planning and recruitment.
