Apollo Applied Research is seeking a part-time psychiatrist to deliver virtual consultations focused on veteran patients from the Canadian Armed Forces. This position allows you to leverage your medical expertise while working within a supportive, multidisciplinary team. You will assess medical cannabis treatment plans and guide patients through their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct virtual consultations for veteran patients regarding cannabis treatments
• Review and assess prescribed medical cannabis treatment plans
• Provide psycho-social input and recommendations to the healthcare team
• Educate patients on the medicinal use of cannabis
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely
Requirements:
• Medical degree and registration in good standing
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently while managing a busy workload
• Team-oriented mindset collaborating with multi-disciplinary professionals
• Knowledge or experience in medical cannabis is an asset
