We offer:
Regular hours with no on call.Flexible schedules with the option of working full or part-time (with a minimum of 20 hours).Challenging work in the field of disability management.No direct patient contact - medical consultants provide medical opinions and speak with treating physicians to guide recovery.Excellent income potential without the administrative burden and overhead of private practice.Qualifications:
Experience in diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal injury with a background in general practice, sports medicine, or emergency medicine.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and share information and knowledge, both within the WCB team and with external clinicians, to improve patient treatment access and recovery outcomes.Understanding of the impact that psychosocial issues might have on recovery.Listed on the General Register of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta with a full practice permit with no conditions..
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security clearance.
