Position: Compassionate Educational Assistant Role
Become an Educational Assistant at Edmonton Islamic Academy, supporting secondary students in their academic and behavioral growth. This role requires compassion and collaboration to enhance student success.

You will work under the guidance of classroom teachers to provide individualized support and encourage students' independence. This position enables you to foster a positive learning environment that respects diversity and promotes inclusivity. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in small groups and one-on-one settings

• Develop academic skills and independence in students

• Use proactive strategies to support student behavior

• Collaborate with teachers on instructional methods

• Communicate effectively about student progress

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or related qualifications preferred

• Minimum one year of experience with diverse learning needs

• Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is beneficial

• Strong time management and interpersonal skills

• Comfortable using technology to support learning
