Youth Worker in Community Support

Join us as a Youth Worker focused on community engagement and support for youth 6-19. This part-time role suits Human Services students seeking flexible scheduling and impactful mentoring opportunities.

As a Youth Worker, you will exemplify relational care while providing critical mentoring for young clients facing various challenges. This involves utilizing your assessment skills to guide youth through conflicts and teaching them coping mechanisms. Collaboration with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team will be vital to ensure effective support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver leadership and mentorship to youth clients

• Facilitate diverse activities, including sports and creative projects

• Assist youth in managing stress and developing healthy relationships

• Create individualized plans for support and growth

• Occasionally prepare meals for youth gatherings

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in relevant fields

• Minimum 6 months experience working with youth

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Capability for conflict management and intervention

• CPR First Aid certification necessary
